Doug Dreyer is the photographer and owner of Dakota Images
Freelance Photography, a photography company specializing in storytelling
though images. He works regularly for a wide variety of clients including
advertising firms and national corporations, to some of the largest newspapers in
the country. His work for the Associated Press has been published throughout
the United States and internationally. He has freelanced since serving as photo
chief for a progressive daily newspaper through 1998.
Doug's work is available in high end
digital and 35mm formats, utilizing Nikon digital and
35mm cameras and lenses. He has a full portable studio
lighting setup to light nearly any situation and can
produce pre-press ready digital images using the latest
versions of Adobe Photoshop and related software.
Growing up in Winner, South Dakota, Doug now lives in Huron,
S.D., providing a central location and quick access to all of South Dakota. He has won numerous
awards for his photography from the South Dakota Newspaper Association, the
Associated Press Managing Editors and the North Central Camera Club Conference.
Doug has served as a guest lecturer at South Dakota State University and the University of South
Dakota and has also judged regional and statewide
photo competitions.
